Being present is focusing on the “right here, right now”. We spend way too much time dwelling on the past and worrying about the future, rather than on the present moment.
No matter how much we dwell or worry, we can’t change the past or control the direction of the future. We need to bear witness to the present moment, lest we get lost in time.
