It can be very intimidating to practice tarot; it’s so easy to feel like you’re not good enough.
Rebuke that feeling and wholly believe that you can use tarot in a personal and meaningful way regardless of skill level.
Does the following sound familiar?
You just received your first tarot deck as a gift, and now you’re on a mission to learn more.
But, there’s a problem. No matter how long you search the internet, you just can’t find a website that actually teaches you how to intuitively read the tarot. You find nothing helpful, only told to memorize card meanings. Forget about understanding how to read a tarot spread!
Even worse, you’re on a journey of self-discovery and are not interested in only doing readings about others or their financial, career, or love life. Totally frustrating!
I’ve been there.
When I first started learning the tarot, I had little to no resources beyond the little white book. The multiple, unrelated meanings it listed confused me. It was very frustrating. Eventually I found a book that was a little more helpful, but also not what I was looking for.
The book wanted me to memorize card meanings, so that’s how I thought I was supposed to read the tarot: through memory. I spent years trying to learn card meanings only to find that there continued to be multiple meanings for each card that were seemingly unrelated; I couldn’t figure out which ones to use.
I wanted to get away from the books once and for all. I wanted to feel like a “real” tarot reader.
Eventually through a ton of reading and even more studying, I slowly started understanding a way that I could give tarot readings: through my intuition. I was finally able to put the book down and just read tarot like I’d always wanted, and I want you to get there too.
SelfTarot is here to support you on your self-discovery journey, offer tarot spreads, instructions on how to use them, host a free course on how to actually read the tarot intuitively, and a variety of posts giving guidance, tips and tricks, and a little about my experience from the past 10 years of reading the tarot.
“It is my wish to provide a means of learning how to incorporate Tarot into your life in a way that is both personal and meaningful.”
And also, to put the book down once and for all!
Have courage and confidence,
Jessika
About Me

Hi! I’m Jessika. Welcome to the SelfTarot Blog!
I’m a tarot enthusiast, pokemaniac, and mother of two living in Missouri. I struggle with Bipolar Disorder and Tarot has not only been a constant in my life, but has gotten me through some pretty tough times.
I received my first Tarot deck (Haindl) as a gift from my grandmother as a teen and have been hooked ever since.
I journal and read for myself and my friends whenever I can, but my passion is teaching.
I hope you find my website useful and enjoy your stay!
